Paid Time Off and Other Leaves

Disconnecting from work is important to help maintain balance in your personal and professional life. Below are a few of the options available to fit with your life’s needs.

Paid Time Off
Paid Time Off (PTO) is a bank of hours that provides you flexibility in receiving pay while away from work. Each pay period, benefit-eligible team members accrue PTO hours based on their hours worked, length of service and status.

Your PTO may be used for vacation, holiday, religious observances, personal/family business, personal/family illness, or as best fits a team member’s current life needs.

The ECU Health PTO accrual schedule for team members is as follows:

* If a non-exempt team member works less/more hours (up to 1.0 FTE) than their FTE value, the accrual will be pro-rated based on the actual hours paid.

Bereavement Leave

Losing a loved one is hard. ECU Health provides Bereavement Leave for when you need to attend funeral or memorial services or to handle related affairs without the stress and worry of work obligations. Visit PolicyStat for additional details.

Jury Duty

We support your civic duty. If you’re called to serve on a jury, jury duty leave is available to continue your regular pay. Visit PolicyStat for additional details.

Workers’ Compensation

If you experience a work-related injury or illness, you may be eligible for medical care and replacement income through Workers’ Compensation. Leaves of Absence
