Spouse, Domestic Partner or Child Becoming an ECU Health Team Member
We are family! We’re excited to have your spouse, domestic partner or child join ECU Health. There are some important benefits considerations now that you are both employed by ECU Health.
You have 30 days from when the dependent joins ECU Health to adjust your ECU Health benefits.
Within 30 days of your dependent joining ECU Health
- Review your ECU Health benefits and add or drop your dependent from your current benefits coverage. Please note:
- If your spouse is now a team member, you both cannot dually enroll in any benefits coverage. Be sure to review current enrollments to confirm you don’t have duplicate coverage.
- A dependent can only be enrolled under one team member. If your dependent is also a benefits-eligible team member, he or she is ineligible for coverage under any benefits plan in addition to coverage under the child life and AD&D benefit.
- To make a change to your benefits following a Qualified Life Event, visit the Employee Self Service page and select the Benefits Enrollment tile (with the bswift logo), log in, then click on “Birth, Marriage or other Life Event” under Common Actions.
